Here's a brief rundown ow what I've done.

 

As the Administrative Department Head and Training Officer of a Naval support squadron.  Executive Officer/Administrative Officer Responsible for the head administrative duties for the Commander, Naval Forces Europe, Operations Planning Group. Extensive experience drafting, editing all command policy manuals and correspondence.

 

As Naval Public Affairs Officer, hosted the Outdoor Channel onboard for Fleet Week 2002. Planned a successful Medal of Honor Ceremony for 70 recipients and all Joint Chiefs of Staff on the USS Constitution.  Responsible for all official ship’s press releases.  Controlled a budget of $300,000 annually and supervised three junior journalists and a photographer.  Responsible for all public relations and media events.  Edited several deployment cruisebooks and publications.

  

Appointed as the Executive Officer over 18 senior officers. As tower control, launched and recovered the mission team that saved PFC Jessica Lynch from Iraqi captivity. Named best Air Department on the West Coast by Naval inspectors. Managed a budget of over $16,000,000 in supplies and equipment in preparation of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Trained and led 30 young sailors into the combat zone for a seven month deployment.

 

Wrote several technical manuals that have become company policy dealing with Security, Fire, Medical and Safety.  Internal security supervisor for a fortune 25 company.  Responsible for all security, medical emergencies, surveillance equipment and security personnel across 40 North American manufacturing sights and International Headquarters. 

 

Covered High School sports for the Jacksonville Journal Courier.

 

BA History, Minor in Communications, University of Illinois-Springfield.

 

Semi-fluent in Italian.  First Aid, CPR, AED Certified.  Extensive experience using MS Word and MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint, and PageMaker.
